Emporio Armani sent the spring and summer 2012 collection down Milan Fashion Week’s runway earlier today and it was filled with shades of blue, edgy business attire, sleek weekend looks and several styles of men’s handbags. The men’s handbag collection on the catwalk reflected the overall vibe of the collection with business casual styles as well as casual, weekend totes.
There were three distinct handbags on the Emporio Armani menswear runway; the messenger bag, the cross body bag and the slouchy tote bag, which appears to take its’ inspiration from a large, slouchy hobo handbag. The messenger bag on the Emporio Armani runway featured business casual styling and could easily be worn in less formal, business environments as well as used on the weekend when a bag is needed to carry a laptop or newspapers.
Emporio Armani’s cross body bag was weekend casual and perfect for traveling, wearing on a bike ride or used to carry school books on a college campus. The casual, slouchy tote bag on the runway offered the silhouette of a large and slouchy hobo with the styling and functionality of a tote bag. The slouchy tote featured two top handles and top zipper; making the bag perfect for airline travel, weekend getaways and anytime a bag is needed with casual attire.
